Hi, I’m Matt Shears, founder and owner of Everest Roofing LLC. With nearly two decades of experience in the roofing and construction industry, I’ve built my business on integrity, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to treating every customer’s home as if it were my own.
Born and raised in Bay Port, Michigan, and a graduate of Caseville Schools, I continued my education by studying Business Marketing and Administration while playing collegiate basketball. Following college, I earned the opportunity to play professional basketball overseas in the Dominican Republic—an experience that strengthened the discipline, leadership, perseverance, and teamwork that continue to define both my personal and professional life.
For the past 13 years, I have also served as a varsity boys basketball coach, mentoring student-athletes and helping develop young men into confident leaders on and off the court. Coaching has reinforced my belief that success comes from preparation, accountability, communication, and leading by example.
Professionally, I hold certifications with GAF and TAMKO roofing systems and continually stay current with the latest roofing products, installation methods, and industry standards.
